Jae S. Brown is a transformational Leader and "Innovation Gap" Warrior Dedicated to Changing the World through Inspiring Other Innovators!
Mr. Brown has over 15 years of leadership experience that spans the public, private, nonprofit and startup sectors. His programs have impacted billions across the globe. He is currently the CEO of Vekter Management, LLC, an unmanned aerial technology firm working in the areas of training, career placement and entertainment. As a leader and member of the executive team, Mr. Brown develops and manages strategies for fundraising, business development and operations.
Mr. Browns industry experience includes serving as the President of the Drone Racing division at a startup drone company. As a member of the firm's executive team, he helped to raise millions of dollars in investment capital while leading the growth of several divisions within the organization.
Prior to working with the startup, Mr. Brown served as the department head for Emergency Management at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. He was responsible for managing the system-wide emergency operations program. He also served as the lead of a state-wide biosafety committee where he helped implement policies in more than 100 hospitals throughout Georgia. As an Emergency Response Coordinator with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, he authored a national emergency response plan that was enacted through a Presidential Order. He also oversaw emergency operations for over 300 facilities across the US.
Civically, Mr. Brown is passionate about closing the technology "Innovation Gap" in minority communities. He currently serves on the founding board of the Harriet Tubman School of Science and Technology (a school that will teach children computational learning and coding from elementary through high school grades. He has also served on the boards of several institutions focused on underserved communities to include: the Auditory Verbal Center, the United Way of Atlanta's African American Partnership Board and the Urban League Young Professionals of Greater Atlanta.
Jae's awards include Atlanta Business Chronicle's 40 Leaders Under 40, Georgia Trend Magazine's 40 Leaders Under 40, Urban League of Greater Atlanta Rising Star Award, CDC Outstanding Citizen and CDC's Ambassadorship Award. He is also an alumnus of Leadership Atlanta's LEAD Atlanta (class of 2010).
Jae earned an MBA from Cornell University and Queens University, an MPA from the University of Georgia and holds a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Urban Public Policy and Urban Economic Development from Georgia State University.
